Zoom is the sweetest little fellow around. This does not surprise us though as his mum is just perfect in every way and she supplied half of his DNA! Zoom absolutely loves people. He is very social and friendly with everyone that he meets. Zoom never passes up an opportunity to jump into your lap for cuddles and is just full of puppy joy. His happiness is contagious, and you can’t help but smile when he is around.

Zoom is a bright and switched on puppy who has a happy and inquisitive nature. He loves to play, particularly tug of war with this favourite tug toy. He will also chase a ball around and loves to carry things around proudly in his mouth. Zoom will always choose his humans though, letting anyone pick him up and hold him like a baby in their arms for as long as they will have him – we think he will be devastated if he gets too heavy to be picked up and cuddled!

Zoom has been in foster care with one of his siblings and 4 other dogs of various sizes and ages. This has given him a good start to his socialisation, but his new owners will need to continue to give him regular playdates with other known friendly dogs throughout his development. Zoom currently enjoys a good rumble and game of chasies with his doggie friends. He is expected to grow to a larger medium size (possibly around 20-25kg) and will need daily exercise to keep him healthy and happy throughout his life.

While in foster care, Zoom has begun his basic training. He knows how to sit and is walking well on the lead. At night, he is more than happy to go off into his crate where he sleeps throughout the night without a peep. Zoom is progressing well with his toilet training, but this will need to continue in his new home. As with any young pup, his new owners will need to be committed to continuing his training and support his continued exposure to new things in the world. Zoom travels well in the car and will be a great buddy to take along for rides.

We will be looking for a dog experienced home for Zoom where he will be a much loved member of the family and included in the daily activities. He would do well in a home with another adult dog who is already fully trained and ready to be a great role model for him. Otherwise, he will be fine to live as an only dog with some guidance throughout the transition period from his new owners. Zoom’s love of people mean that we will prioritise a new home where his owners are home more often than not so that he can enjoy all the cuddles that he deserves.

Zoom should be allowed inside to be with the family and will need a warm comfy bed inside to sleep on at night. He is currently living with a cat and will be fine to live with other types of pets with continued training and guidance. Zoom is yet to meet children but would be fine to live with dog savvy children who are confident enough to deal with typical puppy behaviours. Zoom has all the signs of being a super addition to his new home. He will bring lots of love, happiness and fun with his very sweet little face.

Additional information: This puppy will be adopted out under a desexing contract that will require the dog to be desexed by a given age. The cost of desexing will be included as part of the adoption fee. A $250 desexing bond will be payable in addition to the adoption fee and will be refunded upon proof of desexing. This process is further discussed with successful applicants.
