Meet Zamen! He’s one of the lucky ones to be born into rescue after his mother was saved from a rural NSW pound.

Don’t let this sad face fool you. He makes his foster parents laugh and is very much a character. He’s a happy go lucky type of dog who is happy to spend his days hanging out with his humans, rumbling with the dogs or just snoozing away. He’s a big fan of long lasting chews and would spend his time outside trying to demolish them.

This smart boy has learnt several cues including sit, drop/down, nose touches and shake. He has great focus and would respond with a ‘kissy noise’. He is crate trained and would go into his comfy bed in the crate to rest on his own. Zamen sleeps well throughout the night and would let you know if he needs to potty. He is progressing very well with his toilet training. Zamen is slowly learning to walk on lead and is enjoying the new sounds, smells and experiences that the world has to offer. He is food motivated and is doing better each day with waiting patiently for his food.

Zamen would benefit from continued socialisation. His new owner should be committed to enrolling in puppy school or obedience classes to further his education, socialisation and help strengthen the bond between owner and pup.

Whilst he’s great at snoozing, he is a playful and active pup. He would be best suited to a home that can provide him appropriate levels of mental stimulation and exercise. Zamen is a cheeky boy and definitely shows that side of him when playing with other dogs. He loves ‘pushing their buttons’ and gives playful nips at their legs and bottom. He would suit another dog that doesn’t mind a good chase and rumble. Zamen would benefit from continued positive interactions with other dogs to practise good manners. Without another dog, his family will need to be home most days and offer him daily opportunities for doggy playtime, socialisation and adventure.

Zamen is an inside/outside dog who spends his time inside with his family when home and would need to sleep inside in a comfy bed or crate with access to his humans for those all important cuddles.

If you’re ready for Zamen’s funny antics, head on over to our Fetching Dogs website and fill out an adoption enquiry form as the next step.
