There is no girl sweeter than Honeybee!

As soon as she lays eyes on someone, she is full of tail wags and happiness. Honeybee loves to make everyone she meets, adults and children alike, her new best friends in the sweetest way. She will approach you low to the ground to demonstrate her soft and friendly nature. This girl gives you the most gorgeous puppy dog eyes and leans into your hands for pats. And if you stop patting her then she will carefully shuffle closer to let you know that she is there wanting to give and get all the love. Honeybee truly is the sweetest girl around and is just longing for a family of her very own.

Despite her young age, it seems Honeybee has been through quite a lot already. It is evident she has been passed around homes and was surrendered to a rural NSW pound before coming into our care. She has had a litter of puppies, and she passed her lovely personality onto the 4 puppies who came into care with her. Honeybee even took in a lone puppy and cared for it as one of her own. It’s now her turn to be loved, looked after and given a stable forever home where she can live happily ever after.

Honeybee is a playful and joyful dog who weighs just 21.5kg. When in the mood, she will cheekily dance around the yard playing with her foster carer. At other times she will carry a toy around or have a game of tug of war with other dogs. Honeybee has enjoyed playing with the other dogs in her foster home. She likes running around the yard with her doggy friends and having a gentle rumble with a compatible playmate. When it gets hot, she loves to jump into the paddle pool and dig around in the water to get cool.

Honeybee is a more sensitive girl, and it is evident that she has not been taken out and about in the world very much. She is curious but cautious and will need a new owner who is able to slowly expose her to the world in appropriate environments so that she can continue to build her confidence. In her previous home, Honeybee was kept tied up so when she sees the lead she doesn’t associate it with fun things like she should; however, once she is on lead, she actually walks along ok as she investigates the world.

At home, Honeybee loves to spend time in the yard and will need a home with a secure yard where she can hang out and play. She will come inside and settle on the couch with her foster carer, or on a bed beside one of her doggy friends, but she chooses to mostly spend time outside in the fresh air. Honeybee will take herself outside to toilet through the open door and is quite sensible inside. She is a little unsure about getting into the car, but once she is in the car she travels well. It won’t take her long to work out that getting her lead on and/or getting in the car will result in lots of fun experiences!

We are looking for a dog experienced home for Honeybee where she will be a loved member of the family. She would love a home with another friendly dog who is not too rough in their play and who can be a great role model for her to gain confidence from. Living as an only dog would also be fine for her as well if she got plenty of attention from her people. Honeybee will need a nice yard to spend time in but should also be allowed inside to spend time with the family. She is good with children and suitable to live with dog savvy children. Honeybee deserves the absolute world and will truly blossom in an easy-going household that will allow her personality to shine through.

If you would like to make this beautiful girl a part of your family, then please complete a Dog Adoption Enquiry form on the Fetching Dogs website as the first step. Please include plenty of details about your previous dog experience, current household members and the type of lifestyle you can offer Honeybee.
